Dynamically balanced semi-short tone arm

By using hybrid materials for the main parts and adopting a spherical center block, external influences are thoroughly eliminated.
After mirror-like buffing, chrome plating is applied, taking IKEDA theory to the limit.
Brings out the maximum expressive power of the cartridge.
Special orders are available in gold and matte finishes.

Major features

1. Stylus pressure is applied using a reliable and stable dynamic balance method

A dynamic balance tone arm is a system in which the arm's needle pressure is adjusted using a mainspring.
This structure allows the needle pressure to be maintained at a constant level even when the record is warped or there are vibrations around the player.
In addition, the stylus pressure scale is engraved so that it can be adjusted in 0.25g increments (from 0.5g onwards).
It is difficult to achieve 100% synchronization due to the unique characteristics of each spring, but our craftsmen, who have inherited the techniques from the founder and continue to this day,
carefully adjust and assemble each tone arm within a margin of error of 0.1g (0.2g for 3g and above), so you can use it with confidence.

These features enable stable tracking performance on the grooves of the record,
allowing for more delicate and accurate reading, thereby maximizing the appeal of MC cartridges.
This is achieved by IKEDA Sound Labs.' dynamic balance tonearm.

2. Inside force canceller uses a string system

When a record is played, an "inside force" is constantly acting on the tone arm, pulling it inward.
This can cause the vertical balance of the sound groove to be disrupted, increasing the likelihood of distortion and unstable positioning.

The mechanism for “canceling” these forces is called an anti-skating mechanism,
and IKEDA Sound Labs. tone arms use a string system for this mechanism.

The physically simple structure of string and weight allows
for optimal settings for various types of records.
Additionally, once properly set, the canceller automatically disengages upon playback completion,
preventing unnecessary lateral force when lifting the needle with the lifter.

3. Highly repeatable VTA adjustment using scale / Strong mounting base

The tonearm shaft is equipped with a highly visible scale, with the spacing between the scales being 2mm.
This allows for easy fine adjustment of arm height (VTA), enabling precise control of stylus tip angle and ground balance.

Adjusting the arm height is an important factor that greatly affects the sound field, high-frequency extension, and mid-low frequency thickness of the reproduced sound.
The ideal setting point, which varies slightly depending on the combination of cartridge and headshell,
can be reliably reset using the scale as a guide, enabling more stable, high-quality playback.

The mounting base is made of brass, which has a high specific gravity and excellent vibration damping properties.
The shaft has a large diameter of 30mm, which penetrates the player firmly and securely.
Furthermore, a φ49 x 12 mm brass nut and a washer with the same diameter and 3 mm thickness are used at the bottom
to achieve uniform and strong fastening with a wide contact surface, thereby integrating with the installation surface.
This structure thoroughly eliminates unnecessary resonance throughout the arm,
allowing the minute signals picked up by the cartridge to be transmitted to the tone arm and output system without loss.
