The IST-201 is a high-performance step-up transformer designed for low impedance (1Ω to 6Ω) MC cartridges.

This transformer, which combines IKEDA's tradition and technology, maximizes the cartridge's capabilities.

1. Use of high-performance core material

High-quality materials with high magnetic permeability are used for the core, achieving low distortion and low loss voltage boost.

2. Carefully selected termination resistors

A selected high-quality termination resistor is placed on the secondary side.

Provides stable performance and excellent frequency characteristics even when the connected audio cable or load impedance changes.

3. Floating connection structure

Supports floating connection, and you can choose between normal connection and balanced floating connection.

Supports a wide range of connection methods while maintaining signal purity.

4. Completely independent magnetic shield

The left and right transformers are magnetically shielded in independent mu-metal cases to prevent mutual interference.

The entire unit is protected by a large, highly conductive shielded case, completely blocking the signal from external noise.

5. Precision RCA connector design

The rhodium-plated, machined RCA connectors are designed to be attached directly to the insulating plate.
